Hero Tower War is a 2D puzzle game, you have the role of leading the hero in the fight against enemies, by avoiding the obstacles coming to the tower. The goal is to find a way to complete each level without sacrificing lives while collecting cash.
At the start of the level, the hero will appear in a tower on the left side of the screen, while obstacles, monsters, and other objects will arrive in a tower on the right. Above the heads of both the hero and villain will display their power level. Once a hero defeats an enemy, his power level is increased by that enemy, allowing him to take on even greater enemies. To overcome obstacles in Hero Tower War, the hero must destroy them and doing so will lower their power level to the level above. While additional items, such as loot, can be found, chests cannot be opened without a key. You can earn gold and unlock new skins by completing levels. From the main menu, you can spend gold to build and upgrade your own castle.
